Day One is a place to learn, a space to share and started off by offering both online and in-person classes such as bouquet making and a wax seal craft class. Initially inspired in Seattle, WA, when Katherine realized how much her friends and family enjoyed picking up new skills and activities but had a difficult time coordinating gatherings due to schedule conflicts or distance. Her solution was to create an easy, fun and safe community to share ideas. A large part of Katherine’s motivation is her grandma who used to own a bakery in Vietnam before losing it all prior to coming to America. ” My grandma is the first entrepreneur I knew. As the story goes, the neighborhood loved her treats and baking techniques. I want to emulate the joy she brought to others through discovering skills and bringing learning beyond the classroom.”

Fast forward Day One took a break leading into 2020 with lock downs due to Covid-19.  So now we’ve pivoted to a podcast and working on offering future online courses as well as other online services.
